Welcome! The American Indian community of California State University, Long Beach welcomes you to our home on the web. This website is designed to inform about everything and anything concerning American Indian students at CSULB. From student organizations to student services, all the latest information can be found within these pages. This website is maintained by the American Indian Student Council.





The American Indian Student Council is open to any currently enrolled students who are interested in American Indian cultures. The council hosts and co-sponsors the Annual CSULB Pow Wow and AILOTT, an outreach conference. In addition, the council hosts several smaller events year round and its members serve on University committees to represent American Indian students'
views and issues. The Council meets on a weekly basis on Thursdays at 6:00 pm in the American Indian Student Study Center located at Faculty Office 4, Room 282 (FO4-282).

  • Need a class for Spring? AIS 208: California Indian History Need an extra 3 units for Spring? Consider taking California Indian History with Georgiana Sanchez this semester! The class is AIS 208, #9342 and has not been offered in a while under the American Indian Studies program. Unfortunately, it is now in danger of being canceled due to budget cuts. The class is open to all students including freshmen and sophomores.
